Hi

For Ease of Reading

If your copy of this newsletter is difficult to read, please go to the the archived version to see it in its original (intended) format.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser apparently strips out a lot of our formatting code. The problem is getting worse and there is nothing we can do to prevent it.

The Microsoft butterfly always strips out the paragraph codes. Just recently, it started removing other random codes as well. Please bear with us. We’re doing our best to provide you a high quality product at the best possible price – free!

Happy Birthday to us. Happy Birthday to us

This issue marks our third year of publication. If you would like to give us a little birthday present, please come visit The Artful Crafter and stay awhile.

Repeat visitors and involved readers are our lifeblood. They see something they like and tell friends to check us out.

They send questions and suggestions. When one reader is looking for something and another feels my answer falls short, I love it when they put in their two cents.

The whole idea behind The Artful Crafter was and is “Helping Crafters to Be”.

If you would like to see what’s going on at The Artful Crafter more frequently than this monthly newsletter allows, please visit The Artful Crafter blog and mark it as one of your favorites. [While there, please vote for it as your favorite hobby blog.]

Thank you for subscribing to “The Artful Crafter Digest”. As always, your comments, suggestions and questions are welcome.

Dear Artful Crafter, Where Can I find …?

We get a lot of requests to help people find crafting supplies. This was an easy one.

Hi Eileen, Where can I order the Ceiling Fan and Light Pull charm kits that are shown in The Artful Crafter?

Is that something you have? Thanks, Shaaron

Hi Shaaron,

I make my beaded fan pulls from scratch. For that you need an inexpensive wire jig. It’s really fun to form your own craft wire into intricate loops and swirls.

If you want to make your own beaded fan pulls and prefer to start with the kit, you can find them at Create for Less.

Just type “Darice Fan Pull” into the search box.

I am sometimes asked if it is safe to order online. Yes. I do it all the time myself.

When I provide a link to a merchant from The Artful Crafter, as I did for Shaaron, I know the company well and trust them. After all, my reputation is on the line.

If I am only able to find the special supply at an unfamiliar supplier, I don’t provide a link but rather the company’s name and Internet address (URL) which the reader can cut and paste into the Internet address box at the top of the screen.

This is a small distinction but one that is very important to a website’s credibility.
