In her book Creative Cash she wrote: "Sometimes the easiest way to turn dreams into reality is simply to focus your energies on something you really love to do..."
In more than 30 years of working with and writing about home-based entrepreneurs and craftspeople, she probably helped thousands to realize their dreams.
Among her many other books are: Homemade Money: Bringing in the Bucks! ; Handmade for Profit ; The Crafts Business Answer Book & Resource Guide
; and Make It Profitable!

I just got a Google alert that my name was mentioned on your site, and I have to tell you that you made my day. Thanks for setting up such a nice Web page for me in answer to your reader's query. (Guess I am unforgettable, even if not everyone can remember my name.)
You have a very nice site. I did a quick check and see that you have a lot of good articles. The one on database programs for crafters is very good. And, don't laugh, but I didn't even know I HAD a database program on my computer until I read that page. And I need one now that I've finally thrown out my old DOS computer that had dbase3+ on it. Used that program for years and loved it.
Now I'm going to learn how to use the Microsoft Works database, thanks to you. (See, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!)
Again, thanks for today's "Web surprise," and I hope your site gives you lots of pleasure and makes money, too.

You say I made your day; and now you’ve returned the favor! What a delight it was to receive your wonderful letter. How thoughtful of you.
You can expect another Google alert soon because I just recommended your books to another crafter who would like to go out on her own as we both have done. I’m sure she will be inspired by your story and advice.
What a gift to be able to share the benefit of our experience like this. It’s kind of the icing on the cake for me.
Thank you for the compliments on our site and feedback on the Databases for Crafters article.
It’s probably just as well that you skipped right from DOS to a true user-friendly database like those available today. At least in DOS, everything was right in front of you.
Yes, it was a bit complicated to learn how to control the data; but you were in complete charge. When programmers try to put a user-friendly front end on, they often come up with anything but!
By skipping a few generations, you avoided all the debugging.

Hi Eileen, I read your newsletter every month. This month, however, I really enjoyed your articles on organizing and Crafting-for-profit which I'm thinking about doing. I've been reading Barbara Brabec's book: Homemade Money: Getting Started. So, maybe I'll live on the edge and try it. Anyway, thanks for the articles. They are very helpful.
Regards,
Louise
Hi Louise, Thank you for writing to tell me. I am so glad you are finding my newsletters helpful. Barbara Brabec is a wonderful lady and has been an inspiration to me. I wish you luck with crafting for profit. Enjoy the journey!
Eileen
