Carolers' Collage Christmas Card

A Handmade Christmas Card Pattern

Caroler's Collage Card

Christmas Card Materials

  • Dark green & red cardstock
  • Gold Metallic Paper
  • Glossy paper
  • Gold ink pad (I used Galaxy Gold Brilliance)
  • Embossing ink pad
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Heat Tool
  • Adirondack Rainbow Ink Pad
  • Noel (must work on glossy paper)
  • Black ink pad (that works on glossy paper
  • I used Brilliance)
  • Brayer
  • Inkadinkado Stamp
  • Caroler's Collage
  • Inkadinkado Stamp
  • Small Snowflake
  • Inkadinkado Stamp
  • Large Snowflake
  • Scissors/Paper Trimmer

Christmas Card Assembly Instructions

  • Cut red card stock for card
  • I used 6" x 10" and folded to 6" x 5" (make sure you have an envelope to fit the card size you are making if you`ll need an envelope!).
  • Cut strip of green card stock 6" x 1" and gold paper 6" x 1.5".
  • Tear a piece of glossy paper 3.75" x 4.5".
  • Roll brayer on rainbow ink pad & roll color onto glossy card stock.
  • Let sit until dry.
  • Stamp Caroler's Collage on glossy cardstock with black ink. Let dry.
  • Make sure you're using inks that will dry on glossy cardstock!
  • Ink edges of glossy card stock with green area of rainbow ink pad.
  • Stamp large snowflakes in gold on red card front.
  • Attach green, gold & glossy card stock to card front.
  • Stamp small snowflake on green card stock to left of glossy picture with embossing ink.
  • Emboss in gold.

Embossing Instructions

  • Ink stamp with embossing ink.
  • Stamp image (unless you have a tinted embossing ink you won't be able to see it very well
  • will look wet).
  • Sprinkle embossing powder over stamped image.
  • Shake excess powder off card & back into embossing powder bottle.
  • Heat with a heat gun until embossing powder melts. You should see a color change when it melts.
  • Be careful not to heat too much or your paper will curl & burn.
  • Don't waste time between steps. You have to put the embossing powder on before the embossing ink dries. Embossing inks are designed to stay wet longer but it's still a good idea to move quickly.
