Glitter Designs on Christmas Ornaments

Using Glitter to Add Christmasy Designs

Materials Needed

• Plastic ornaments
• Ultra-fine colored glitter
• Plastic glue with a fine tip
• A shallow bowl for the glitter
• A plastic spoon
• 2 sheets of clean card stock
• An egg carton or paint palette with wells as a drying rack

Christmas Design Instructions

Use the plastic glue to write a message or draw line art on one side of the ornament.

Hold the ornament over a sheet of paper and spoon glitter over the glue. Let the excess collect on the paper underneath.

When quite a bit has accumulated on the paper, move the ornament over the second paper; pick up the first one and bend it to funnel the collected glitter over remaining glue.

Work back and forth between the two sheets of paper until the entire design is covered.

Turn the ornament and repeat the process on the other side. Set completed ornament onto the drying rack for two hours.
