We’ve had several questions about wall word art lately. Wall word art is sort of like scrapbooking on a grand scale – and you know how much I love scrapbooking.

Whether hung directly on the wall, in little frames, on ribbons, on boards, on decorative coat racks or bulletin boards, letter or word art can add a unique and special touch to your décor.

It occurred to me that I should tell you about one of our advertisers – Craft Cuts. Craft Cuts makes letters and word art from scrapbook size to store signage size.

In their own words, Craft Cuts supplies “Creative Products for Creative People”. They offer wood letters, self-adhesive vinyl letters, mirror letters and stencils.

Craft Cuts is like the Burger King of craft letters. It doesn’t matter what you want; you can “have it your way”.

Select single letters, words or complete quotes. Wood letters can be unfinished or painted in your choice of colors or patterns.

They offer over 70 custom hand painted patterns or will hand paint to match a fabric swatch you provide. The vinyl letters are available in over 1700 fonts and 16 different colors! The mirror letters are made from silver mirrored acrylic and are adorned with your choice of ribbon.

Vinyl words and quotes come with a self adhesive back that is already laid out on a backing with proper spacing between letters and words. Simply peel off the special wax paper and press all of the letters against the wall at one time.

The vinyl is thin so it looks like the letters are hand-painted. When you want to remove the lettering, it will release from the wall without leaving a residue or removing the paint from the wall.

As for stencils, you can choose reusable letter stencils made of Mylar or single use stencil letters of adhesive-backed vinyl. While single alphabet stencils are a fast and a clean way to perfect alphabet stencils, the Mylar reusable stencil letters are great if you might use the same word again.

Finally – back to my “scrapbooking on a grand scale” analogy – Craft Cuts makes Wall Art Deco Ends that I think of like scrapbooking stamps. You can frame your word art with Deco End flourishes or scrolls.
