Low Cost or Wholesale Craft Supplies Resources

Looking for Gift Boxes

I am looking for a recommendation for sites selling assorted card size boxes.

I wish to sell my homemade cards and am having difficulty packaging them nicely.

Thanks for your help.

Buying Wholesale

I would recommend that you first read Online Wholesale Resources.. This article lists several wholesalers that carry gift boxes.

Another source to check is Worldwide Brands. You might find a small bulk wholesaler that carries the boxes you need.

If you don't want to get involved with the large quantities that this might require, CreateForLess and search for “cardboard boxes”. They have some cute gift boxes that are shaped like fancy handbags.

Make Your Own

If you can’t afford (or don’t want) to purchase in bulk, consider making your own boxes. It’s not that difficult. You didn’t mention whether your cards are hand made or computer crafted; but if you are computer crafting (or would like to try it) and don’t have a program with a crafts module, go to Graphics Programs for Crafters

Consider Print Shop. In the crafts section of the program, you will find patterns for boxes that you can modify in size and customize to coordinate with your cards.

Here is a stationery folder I made with Print Shop:

gift boxes, wholesale, buy in bulk, wholesale cost gift boxes, wholesale, buy in bulk, wholesale cost

Finally, another source of box patterns is the printer manufacturers. Go to Craft Patterns for Your Computer and follow the links to HP; Lexmark and Epson for box ideas and patterns.

Keep thinking outside the box.

Addendum

I don't know how many boxes you need.

I have found a wholesaler that sells fabric, paper and plastic boxes in quantity. The initial minimum order is $150, repeat orders are $75. They require a business license and/or tax ID.

If you're interested, the site is www.keltoy.com.

They also carry other craft supplies.

Hope this helps.
