Crochet Star
Finding Patterns Online

You Can Find Free Crochet or Knitting Patterns for Just About Any Design Online
My boyfriend loves the Dallas Cowboys and I want to crochet him a blanket.
I want it to be a big blue star in the middle of the blanket with a row of silver around that; then the rest of the blanket blue.
My question is how do I make a star? I have an idea to use diamonds then hook them together to form a star.
Any ideas or can you tell me where to get a pattern???????
Thanks for your help.
Renee
I sent out a call to my Crafty Blogging friends since I don't do much crochet anymore myself.
Drew Emborsky, The Crochet Dude, found this one for you: Free Star/Shaped Afghan Pattern at Heart Felt Angels.com.
[ BTW, Drew has a new book coming out soon which you might be interested in. The title is Crochet It. Love It. Wear It! . Drew subtitled it "The Ultimate Collection for Every Occasion". The designs are gorgeous. I may just get out my crochet hooks again! ]
Here are more free star crochet patterns you might want to play with.
You can also search for all kinds of free crochet patterns at Free-Crochet.com.
Finally, I created the graph above of a Dallas Cowboys logo star using the KnitPro 2.0 graph generator available online and the Shape Tool in Photoshop.
KnitPro creates a grid for graphic patterns used in knitting, crochet and other craft projects like cross stitch, mosaic beading and needlepoint.
The ratio for most projects is 1:1, in which case KnitPro generates a grid without any adjustment to the image you upload. If your stitches or beads are not square, you can select the 5:7 or 7:5 ratio option to prevent distortion of your design when created.
