Crocheting as a Passion

"…For this amount of money I would have never started even thinking of making that myself! "

I came closer to two women talking about a crocheted bag laid on a woman’s knees.

"For me, it’s a waste of time," went on the owner of the bag. "I can afford to pay the cost, but when I think about the time and effort put into making such a bag, I don’t understand how one can make it!"

The other, dressed in a knitted jacket, which I guess she had made herself, smiled…

As it has become a habit to think about Svetlana when I see or hear of crocheting, my thoughts immediately went to her. She’s been working with needles and crocheting for nearly forty years. She’s made hundreds of garments, but had never earned a dollar for any of her projects.

"Waste of time…"

Maybe for some people it really is, but not for Svetlana.

For her, crocheting is a way of living - a whole philosophy!

Do you know this 'ancient,' quotation:" Do what you love doing and money will come!"

Love, the everlasting locomotive of all our existence!

Passion and love of whatever we are doing in this world are the keys to happiness, wealth and success.

This is why when I offered to create a website for crocheters, Svetlana loved the idea at first hearing.

Another factor that helps us is our faith that everything we are doing will be useful for all who love crocheting…
