Cross Stitch Design Software
Unlimited Cross Stitch & Embroidery Patterns
All you have to do is import an image: it could be a photograph, clip art, your own original artwork or a picture from a book or magazine. It would work best if you had a scanner, although you could download photographs directly from your digital camera or copy them from a CD.
You can crop your pictures in PC Stitch, although any major editing of the picture needs probably should be done before you import your picture into the program. See Graphics Programs for Crafters for more information on editing options.
You make whatever adjustments you want and once you're satisfied with the final product, you decide on the size of your project. The program then maps all the colors in your image to the closest floss colors and prepares the pattern for you to stitch. Major floss list are included, such as those from DMC, Anchor and Kreinick & Coats. You can even ask the program to include Mill-Hill beads as embellishments.
You can add captions or sayings using True Type fonts, the ones included in your computer, or special cross stitch fonts. Borders and edging are included. You can work with different stitches and you can even create your own specialty stitch.
Then it's up to you to do the stitching and wind up with a truly unique work of art.
Do embroidery or cross stitching of your children or grandchildren, your favorite pet, your spouse or your house. You are not limited in any way as to subject matter, which is what makes this cross stitch program so special.
