Decoupage A Silhouette on Tile
The Proper Paper for a Decoupage Silhouette
A friend of mine bought some tiles at Lowes for 1 cent apiece.
I would like to put a silhouette of my kindergarten students onto it to give to their moms for Mothers Day.
How would I go about this.
I'm assuming it would be decoupage but what kind of paper should I use?

Here's an article about decoupaging on tile and here are some tips on creating the silhouettes from eHow.com.
To find a suitable paper, you may have to do some experimenting. Usually black construction paper is used for silhouettes, but since you want to decoupage the silhouettes you want thinner paper with minimal ink bleed.
I think Riverside Truebrite Fadeless Colored Paper would work well. Your school may even have some in stock because it is commonly used for bulletin boards.
If you can't find a paper that doesn't bleed ink when brushed with decoupage medium, this article on Decoupage Short Cuts contains two ways to seal the ink first.
