Saturday, June 28: Heather's Journal Prompt
I took on Heather's journal prompt from Artsy Bloggers Roundup #12. She challenged us to select one word and create an entire page or pages as if we were that word.I chose two words - Digital Art.
Heather said that was okay ‘cause rules are meant to be broken. I usually don't have much journaling on my pages, so was pleased with how nice this looks.
My journaling says,
I came back to art late in life - in my 50s. I started crafting for fun and profit and life was good.
Through two non-art careers and the years of raising our son, I had little time for the art I used to enjoy so much.
Finally I was sewing again, doing decoupage and paper art like card-making and gift bags. I learned wire sculpture and made beaded jewelry. I tried embossing and stamping, polymer clay and silk painting.
And then I found Scrap Girls. Wow! My life is new and exciting again. At 62, I'm pushing the envelope, challenging my synapses and accomplishing things I never thought myself capable of.
If I live to ninety, maybe I could become accomplished enough to make it to the ranks of the Scrap Girls Layout or Design Team.
I could be the Grandma Moses of Scrap Girls!
In the meantime, I'm enjoying the Journey"
I'm getting tired of listing all the Scrap Girls products used and you're probably getting tired of seeing the lengthy lists. Yet the graphic designers do deserve credit for their work.
So today I will just name the designers. If you like what you see, go to the Scrap Girls Boutique and search by designer.
Today's talented Scrap Girl design artists are: Brandy Murry, Cheryl Barber, Jan Hicks and Syndee Nuckles.
