I realized I have been giving full credit for all the Scrap Girls products I’ve used in my homework assignments, but forgot to tell you what program I used!
All these layouts were done with Photoshop. Mea culpa Adobe!
This layout was pure fun. The picture, though not digital, was taken only 12 years ago with a pretty good camera. It’s of my DH after shoveling snow for the last time! The journaling says, “No more Snow Days … Our Last Winter in New Jersey … 1996”.
It uses the Dynamic Brushes, EdgeIt Actions and Stitching Holes and Styles which were the focus of the Dynamic Stitching class and the following Scrap Girls products:
Glitzy Christmas paper, Glittered Edge Transparency and Glittered Jelly Style by Amanda Sok;
Photo frame and scalloped paper from Syndee Nuckles’ French Market collection;
Candy Stripe paper by Amanda McGee;
Fabric texture by Erica Hite;
One snowflake by Brandy Hackman and another I found in the Scrap Girls collaborative kit “12 days of Christmas”;
The snowflake medallion frame with my DH putting the snow blower away for the last time was a Christmas 2007 gift from Scrap Girls
The class was fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about our teacher, graphic designer, Katherine Weaver. I expected to learn how to use the dynamic stitching tools which Scrap Girls creates and sells; but learned oh so much more.
I’m still plodding my way through the WOW Photoshop book I bought last year.
It’s a really great book but I’m a slow reader. I bet if I had Katherine personally tutoring me, I could learn much more quickly. I’m a slow reader but a quick learner-by-doing.
