Remaining Supplies

  • ½ sheet of white fun foam - about 6 x 8 inches
  • Paint brush
  • Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue
  • Elmer's Glue-All
  • Black and pink fine tip marking pens
  • Six black artificial flower stamens or black-covered fine wire for the bunnies' whiskers
  • Small piece of sponge or stencil sponge
  • easter craft template

Copy and print the template to be about 6 x 8 inches.

    Instructions for Large Easter Bunny

Glue the head to the bottom of the pot with Tacky Glue.

When completely dry, paint head and body white. Let dry.

Lightly dab blue paint over the white with a sponge leaving some white showing. Dab more white for a face and a small amount of pink for cheeks.

Use the (wrong) end of a paint brush to make dots for the eyes in blue.

Use paper template to cut the bunny ears and paws out of white fun foam. Dab a small amount of blue paint on both sides of the pattern pieces.

[ This process is easier if you use a paper plate to hold the pieces while painting. Place a strip of double sided tape to the plate and lightly lay the pieces over the tape. They will stay in place while you paint one side. When one side is dry, turn the pieces over and paint the other side.]

When the ears and paws are dry, paint the inside of the ears in pink with a paint brush.

Take a fine tip marking pen in black and draw black dots in the center of the eyes and a mouth. Draw on a pink nose with the pink pen.

Cut off the large ends of three stamens and cut the remaining black stems in half.

Place a small dab of tacky glue on each cheek and attach three short stamens on each side of the nose for whiskers. When they are completely dry you can cut them again to different lengths.

Paint a tiny white dot in each eye.

Put some tacky glue on the back of each ear and paw. Let dry a few minutes and then press into place on the bunny.

Put tacky glue on the top of each foot and set the pot down over the feet.

Tie a piece of white ribbon around the neck and tie in a bow. Dab a tiny amount of Elmer's glue to the center of the bow to keep it in place.

    Instructions for Small Easter Bunny

Follow instructions for the large bunny but use pink paint for the body and a light green bow around the neck.

    Instructions for the Easter Chick

Follow the same instructions for the body except paint it yellow.

Make black dots for the eyes with the pen and a tiny dot of white paint as done before.

Paint a small beak in orange and dab on pink cheeks.

Cut and paint the pattern pieces in yellow.

Glue the wings to the sides of the pot and feet to the bottom of the pot as for the bunnies.

Draw little black lines to make the webbed feet.

Tie a pink bow around the neck and glue in place.
