Etched Heart Champagne Flutes
A Special Romantic Valentines or Anniversary Gift

Etched Valentines Champagne Flutes with Wine Glass Charms
How to etch your own design onto glass.
I think these are really special; so a very special thanks to my very special friend, Shaaron, for this design and tutorial.
What a perfect gift for Valentine's Day or anniversary; these would also be terrific takeaway favors for guests at a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner.
Shaaron says this is"an easy, inexpensive gift to give to a special couple. Add a bottle of bubbly and they will surely enjoy your gift for Valentine's Day and many other special occasions."
I think they're just lover-ly!

Supplies For Etched Valentines Champagne Flutes
- 2 champagne glasses
- Armour Etch glass etching cream
- Paintbrush
- Blue painters tape
- Heart stencil, small cookie cutter or hand-cut heart shape (You remember how to do that, right?)
- Razor cutter or sharp craft knife
- 2 hoop earrings or circles of ring memory wire
- Red and pink glass beads
- 2 heart charms
- 2 jump rings
Making Your Etched Champagne Flutes

Prepare the tape stencil(s)
- Using a piece of blue painters tape large enough for each heart you will be etching, tape it to a cutting board or self mending matt.
- Draw a heart on each piece of tape, using a heart stencil, cookie cutter or hand-cut heart.
- Then carefully cut the heart out with the razor cutting tool.
- Discard the center.
Now you have a heart stencil made from the painters tape.
Place a heart stencil on each glass where desired, being sure all the heart edges are firmly against the glass so the etching cream can't ooze underneath.
A bone folder or the side of a pencil works well to secure the edges.

Using the paint brush put a thick layer of etching cream in the heart area. Wait 5 minutes; then rinse off with warm water.

Remove the tape.
Wash with soap and water and dry each glass.
You should have a perfect etched heart on each glass.
Make the Wine Glass Charms

Take one hoop and string on some beads.
Place a jump ring on the heart charm so it will swing freely and string onto the loop and then add an equal number of beads to the other side.
Bend the stringing end of the loop upwards to secure the beads.
Hook around the stem of the glass.
Do the same for the other glass changing the color of the beads and the charm.
A house full of sunshine,
Hearts full of cheer,
Love that grows deeper each day of the year.
