Draw a small heart onto a piece of paper or use a heart stencil.
Cut around the heart leaving about ¼” of space all around.
Tape the heart pattern inside the glass facing out where you want your first heart.
Pour a quarter size of the paint onto a paper plate.
Using the paintbrush, paint over the heart pattern on the outside of the glass. If you should have any bubbles in the paint, use a toothpick to poke each bubble until it disappears.
Set the glass on its side to dry, heart facing upwards so there won’t be any running of the paint.
Use one thick coat or a couple thin coats if desired to keep paint from running.
Let each heart dry completely before continuing on to another heart.
While the first glass is drying, paint a heart on the second flute and let it dry as well.
When both are dry, proceed with another heart on each glass following the same process.
Again let dry completely.
Do as many hearts as desired around the outside of each glass.
Then using the tip of the paint bottle, make little dots all around the base of each glass.
When completely dry, tie a red bow around the base of each glass.
Please note: No baking required as this is an air-dry paint.
Allow ten days for the paint to cure before using or washing the glasses. And to be on the safe side, don’t paint any hearts up near the rim of the glasses since the paint should not be used on surfaces which will be in contact with food.
