Free Gift Websites
Are Free Gift Websites Worth It?
Hello,
Have you ever subscribed to any of these free gift sites (ex.freegiftworld.com)to receive free software (ex. American Greeting)?
Would you suggest doing this?
If so, how safe is it to subscribe because it usually requires you to purchase at least one item or give all your information for credit cards, products, etc.
I will be waiting on your reply.
Thank you.
Yolanda
As far as I understand them, these sites require you to buy products from certain sites in order to qualify for the free gift. The way they work is that the site gets a commission on the sale and that pays for the product.
I've never used these sites. You have to be sure that you really want or need what you're buying and then weigh the cost against the cost of the "free" product.
Only you can decide whether it is worth, for example, having to spend $300 on DVD's in order to get a $20 software program. If you were going to buy the DVD's anyway, it might be a deal. Otherwise you're wasting your money.
I guess the best way to look at these programs is as a rebate offer or even that they're like Green Stamps, if you are old enough to remember them.
If you are planning to try this out, check out the various "scam" sites on the web and make sure the company is legitimate. It could just be a way of stealing your personal information. Just do a search for "internet scams" and check to see if this kind of deal is listed or not.
Remember if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
