Lay a round jar or something similar on its side to place the headband over while working on it.
Arrange the feathers you want to use in an order that is pleasing to you.
On the outside of the headband run a row of glue from one end of the headband up to about 2 inches from the peak.
Start at the top of the glue line and lay a feather down on the glue.
Angle it slightly off to one side. Then lay the next feather down angled to the other side.
Continue to do this until you have the row of glue covered with feathers fanned to both sides as shown.
At the bottom, cut off the tip part of a feather and run some glue along the back.
Lay this feather upside down over the previous feather.
This will cover the quill of the last feather. Let dry about an hour.
Run a line of glue along the inside of the headband the same length as on the outside. Again, start near the top and work your way down using a little bit larger feathers this time and extending them just out past the existing feathers.
This will give it a fuller look.
Set aside to dry for about three hours.
Apply Fray Check to one end of the ribbon and glue the ribbon over the center of the inside feathers to give the headband a finished look.
Cut the ribbon off near the end and Fray Check this end as well before gluing it down.
