Two Homecoming Mum Questions

I started making homecoming mums just last year.

I am looking for instructions on how to make various braids used for mums and garters.

Any info on this would be a great help.

Hi, this is a very good site.

But I was wondering if there are instructions on how to make (woven ribbon) Diamondback style chain that is used for homecoming mums. This one is not to be confused with the military braid.

If there is none on this site, can you direct me to the right place?

I've been surfing the net for three days just to find the instructions to this braid.

You will find illustrated instructions for Spirit Chains, Military Braids, Love Chains, The Diamondback Weave and Diamondback Garlands.

Here's a pattern for a Homecoming Mum Garter.

To learn some different weaves to embellish homecoming mums, I recommend B. Grant's classic book, Leather Braiding. It may appear a bit retro to you but, as I said, it's a classic.

The illustrations are clear and easy to follow.
