I am curious about homecoming mums.

Where did you get your information about them being solely in TX and OK?

I grew up in TX with mums and now live in Missouri.

Our oldest child is a freshman and I was surprised to see no mums at this year's homecoming game.

Now I'm trying to gather information to write an article about all this.

When I wrote the first homecoming mum article after moving to Texas and seeing the phenomenon firsthand, I started asking people.

Someone showed me a newspaper article that stated they were only popular in TX and OK. That seemed to be confirmed by my conversations. I questioned people who had grown up all across the South.

Subsequently, I've received several letters like yours - Texans or Oklahomans who have moved to another state and miss the homecoming mum tradition.

So I published this article about Homecoming Mums as a Business to help them spread the fun.

When I wrote it, Georgia and Louisiana were beginning to come on board, but I'm sure it has spread further by now. I would say it's about time for Missouri!
