I am looking for the lights that are put on homecoming mums that have a small plastic switch.
The ones I saw last year had a green battery box and I think the wires were green also.
I really need it in white, but the white ones I used last year had a small metal switch and they did not work well.
Can you help me? I am in charge of making mums for our small private school. This is NOT a money maker. It is a service for the kids so they can afford them.
Marie
I couldn’t find any sets that could be used with homecoming mums with white wires, but couldn’t you cover the wires and battery pack with white tape?
ePartyUnlimited has battery operated decorative light strings, 12 lights per string, bulbs available in blue, green, red or white, 3 AA batteries provide up to 48 hours of continuous illumination.
AmazingLightBulbs has battery powered Christmas lights, 12 clear bulbs, green cord, uses 2 D batteries, parallel wiring means if one bulb fails the string stays lit.
I was able to buy small strings of battery operated Christmas lights and, even better, LED's - which should give a longer battery life - in the larger craft stores in Texas. Again they had green wires and battery pack.
Here’s one more suggestion. Have you considered making your own? That way you can have whatever color wire and battery pack you like. Perhaps you can enlist your school’s science teacher to make it a class project. Find directions at Red Tag Joe’s.
