Matchbook Favors
Great for All Occasions

Matchbook Favors are Hot, Hot, Hot!
Other clever things to do with matchbook favors.
I recently started making mint matchbook favors and, let me tell you, these things are hot! Everybody wants them.
The ones above were done for friends who live in a compound of ranches surrounding a riding stable. Each ranch has its own name, so the matchbooks say "Rancho la Ladera", "Rancho el Agave", etc.
People are coming up with all kinds of occasions for the matchbooks and different things to include. Maybe you can use some of these ideas too.
Occasions for Matchbook Favors
- Dinner parties, any parties actually
- Holidays
- Weddings
- Religious occasions like baptisms and bar/bat mitzvahs
- Birthdays and quinceaƱeros
- Hostess gifts
- Housewarming gifts
Things to Staple into Matchbook Favors
- After dinner mints
- Any wrapped candy that will fit (or adjust the size of the matchbook)
- Towelettes in foil packs for messy meals like BBQ or lobster
- Tea bags with appropriate text such as, "Welcome to my ... Tea Party."
- Wrapped word art Valentine's candy like "Be My Valentine" or "I'm Yours"
- Compressed Miracle Sponges cut into appropriate shapes like animal shapes for a child's birthday with the text "Happy Birthday! You're growing up so fast." The kids can have fun after eating by dropping the sponges into water and then helping mop up! I love this idea!

These aren't exactly matchbook ideas but along similar lines ...
I've made candy bar wrappers with birthday and get well messages.
Instead of putting a tea bag into a matchbook, just make a fancy tea bag envelope.

I love this idea! How about a small stack of post it notes. You could actually make several matchbooks from one pack of post its.
