You can save a lot of money by cutting and scoring cardstock yourself to create your cards, as I do. My cost for a 5 ½ x 8 ½-inch card and matching envelope is less than 15 cents.
I priced out Strathmore Script #80 cardstock and Arturo envelopes imported from Italy and got $1.20 per, including shipping and handling to Canada.
I haven’t ordered from them myself, but ThePaperMillStore carries very nice-looking blank panel-embossed cards and matching envelopes for about 30 cents (again including S&H to Canada).
(I just realized that I made the effort to factor in your higher shipping cost but quoted you prices in USD. Oops.)
Hope this is helpful.
