Golden Leaves of Autumn Place Cards

Free Place Card Pattern

Craft Pattern, craft ideas, craft projects, paper crafts

This is a place card I made using PrintShop. Since I bought the program, I am allowed to print them for my own
use or as gifts. But I may not make them to sell.

If you already own PrintShop or click on the link to purchase it right now, you may use my pattern for Golden Leaves of Autumn place cards - again, only for your own use or as gifts.

Click on the pattern JPEG picture above and save it to your hard drive or simply print it if you don't yet know how to create in PrintShop.

Select white or ivory colored card stock. Each place card should be approximately four inches square.

Cut them out, leaving a thin white border around the edges. Fold in half so that the large leaf is on one side and the two smaller ones are on the reverse.

Note that there is space to write your guests’ names on both sides if you like. They know who they are; but the people across the table may not!

Use a gold gel pen or wet emboss the names for a really elegant touch. Wet embossing supplies can be found stores such as Joann.com. For example you can purchase the Melt Art Perfect Pearls Powder 4-Color Set . You will also need a heat source, such as the Darice Super Heat Gun I use a clear waterbase ink embossing pen and gold embossing powder. No stamps or stencils required for this simple job!

While it is difficult to get a good representation of the color gold from a computer printer, I think this graphic of a gold leaf from the designers at Broderbund does an exceptional job.

Follow the directions below to reproduce your “Golden Leaves of Autumn” place cards.

Method 1 - Using PrintShop Computer Graphics Software

Bring the JPEG into a blank page of PrintShop; resize the pattern to four inches by four inches; and copy it three times. Arrange the images so they fit within the printable border. Print.

Method 2 - Using Your Computer's Printer

Cut the card stock you selected for this project in halves measuring 8 ˝ by 5 ˝ inches.

Load the sheets into your printer and print by positioning your cursor on the photo above and clicking on the icon of the printer. The image will print on the right side of the pages.

Then flip the sheets around and reload them into your printer. This yields four place cards per 8 ˝ by 11 inch sheet of card stock. Repeat the printing process to make as any as you need.

Method 3 - Copy Machine

Move your cursor to the photo above. When the bar of icons appears, move the cursor to the picture of the computer printer and click. Do this four times.

Cut out the four squares and use a glue stick to position them on a standard sheet of paper. Bring the card stock you selected for this project to your local copy center and have copies made.
