Click on the free pattern JPEG picture above and save it to your hard drive or simply print it if you don't do computer graphics. Select a cream or ivory colored card stock. Each collar is three inches in diameter.
Reproduce as many as you need. Cut out the circles; cut a straight line from the outer edge to the inner white circle; cut out and discard the inner circle.
Follow the directions below to reproduce your wine glass markers.
Method 1 - Using Computer Graphics Software:
Bring the JPEG into a blank page of your computer graphics software; resize it to three inches in diameter; and copy it seven times. Arrange the images so they fit within the printable border. Print.
Method 2 - Using Your Computer's Printer:
Cut the card stock you selected for this project into 3 strips of 8 1/2" X 3 2/3". Load the three strips into your printer and print by positioning your cursor on the photo above and clicking on the icon of the printer. The image will print on the right side of the strips. Do this three times. Then flip the stack of strips over and reload them into your printer. Repeat the printing process. You only get six to a page this way but it is less costly than full color copies from a copy machine.
Method 3 - Copy Machine:
Move your cursor to the photo above. When the bar of icons appears, move the cursor to the picture of the computer printer and click. Do this eight times. Cut out the eight circles and use a glue stick to position them on a standard sheet of paper. Bring the card stock you selected for this project to your local copy center and have copies made.
A good way to get the nice clean circular cuts that the collar requires is to use the
Olfa Circle Cutter
. This tool is similar to the compass you used in school to draw circles. Instead of a pencil, it contains a very sharp cutter. It makes circles from between 1 7/8 to 8 1/2 inches and has many other uses, especially if you're a quilter or sewer.

Gift Tag Pattern
Here's another pattern for you if you plan to sell your wine glass collars or give them as a gift.Print and cut the tags. Pack your collars (eight or twelve) to a pack in a small plastic bag or envelope.
Fold the tag in half according to the design and staple it over the top of the bag.
