Seasonal Scrapbooking - Fall
An Autumn Scrapbooking Theme

Seasonal Scrapbooking - Autumn
Autumn is the season of bounty.
School is starting, leaves are falling, and the harvest is plentiful.
Fall is revered for its exuberant colors and textures, the turning of the leaves, and the bustling activities that take place when schedules change and the air begins to cool.
With two major holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving, fall is a perfect time for taking memorable pictures.
Plus, the season provides a chance to bring the wonder of nature directly into your scrapbook.
Fall Photo Opportunities
The fall season presents unlimited opportunities for snapping beautiful and memorable photos.
You won't want to miss out on photographing the kids on the first day of school (or back to school for many children), or days spent raking and playing in piles of multi-colored leaves.
Halloween, with its myriad of fun and mysteriously haunting decorations and cleverly costumed children with candy-smeared faces provides plenty of fodder for great pictures.
The delicious food and gracious guests at Thanksgiving, and even the frenzy of holiday shopping are wonderful photo subjects for scrapbookers.
A Study in Color and Texture
Autumn presents a cacophony of rich and vibrant colors and textures, which are ideal for inspiring warm, inviting pages and layouts for your scrapbook.
Deep rusts and burnt oranges along with yellowy golds and varying shades of browns and greens reflect autumn in all its glory.
Textures are grainy, almost fuzzy.
Look for felts and gritty papers that remind you of warm sweaters and dried-up leaves.
Cover your pages with dark shades of browns and greens, and then use bright orange accents for pop and emphasis.
Nature's Bounty
Scrapbooking is a paper craft, and paper hails directly from nature itself.
You need look no further than your own backyard (or front yard) for lush embellishments, which will enhance your scrapbook pages and give them a natural glow.
Collect large leaves and use them to frame photos, or pick up smaller leaves for accents or creating borders.
Dried stalks of grass tied with a bit of thin string and tiny bits of branches or sticks also make great borders and frames.
Layer those leaves and be sure they vary in color!
Also, be sure you use a preservation treatment so your pages stay fresh and intact.
