You might be able to find a shoe maker to apprentice with. Read our article about Craft Apprenticing.
There are many classes and courses offered on the craft of shoe making. If you can swing a weekend trip to Ohio, the school of International Shoemaking Design offers frequent two-day courses.
The Prescott and Mackay School of Fashion and Accessory Design offers two day shoe making courses in London and San Francisco.
When you leave either of these schools to return to Holland, you will go not only with a newfound skill but also with a pair of shoes made by your own hands.
Finally, if you really want a degree program that will train you in the manufacture and design of shoes, as well as in their distribution, import and export, contact the International School of Footwear in Leicester England.
The school offers a one-year intensive full time accredited shoe making course, as well as many other options of study plan. The International School of Footwear was founded in 1897.
