We don't, of course. But I know what they mean.
Site Build It! does not Make their dreams come true. It only Helps.
Invaluable help, yes But...
It's the SBIer who Makes success happen.
We don't Sell dreams. We Help them come true.
Site Build It! is driven by an underlying respect for the online small business person that is unique. We take it for granted, simply because that's what we eat, live and sleep...
We don't sucker small business people in with $4.95 domains.
We don't bait them with $5/month hosting.
We don't lure them with loud offline advertising.
As immodest as that may sound, an approach based upon respect and customer Success is indeed unique. The "small business Web hosting" industry has no respect for the online small business person. They live in a different dollar- making world where client success is irrelevant.
Think about this...
You don't see your local offline mega-mall sucking in new tenants with $4.95 offerings for a store sign. Everyone knows that offline business requires a serious commitment.
Well, online business is no different. It takes some serious time and effort to build Any business. And your time is a serious resource that cannot be renewed or recuperated, once lost.
Yet the "small business Web hosting" industry sucks in people online and dooms them to waste their valuable time and energy (only to fail), by offering $5 domain names!
What does an offering like that say about the company that makes it? To me, it says...
"Hey, we know you're not really serious about building a business because if you were, what difference does the price of a domain name make, whether it's $5 or $50?"
The rest of the "small business industry," one way or another, focuses on "quick and easy and cheap."
Instead, we focus on Success. Why? Simple...
The Internet does not suspend the basic laws of economics or business, nor does it eliminate the use of common sense.
"Get Rich Quick And Easy" does not exist. I do not know anyone who ever got rich quick and easy. Even the outfits that sell that stuff work hard at it!
I doubt very much if any of the Top 10 Small Business Web Hosting Companies, with millions and millions of customers between them all, received a single Christmas card from their customers.
And That says it all.
