An Easy to Make Valentines Craft for Children of All Ages
Valentines Heart Magnets
This fun project is good for kids of all ages – just about.
For younger ones, the hearts can be pre-cut by you or purchased pre-cut.
Use them on the fridge to display your children’s artwork and special awards or for reminders, family calendar or shopping list. I have one stuck on my computer holding a favorite photo of my son.
I can just see a group of children sitting down to a table filled with the cut out hearts and various embellishments and having a wonderful time making up their own designs.
Wouldn’t it be fun to see all the different creations?
Rhinestones, ribbon flowers and/or decorative trim
Heart Magnet Instructions
Cut one each 5-inch, 2 ¼-inch, 1 ¼-inch and ¾-inch heart out of the craft foam in the colors you desire.
Glue in order of size on top of each other starting with the largest one on the bottom.
Let this dry completely. They can be centered as shown or off-kilter if you want a funkier look.
Decorate the fronts as desired with rhinestones, ribbon flowers, tiny silk flowers, decorative trims or even fabric paints. Let the decorated heart dry completely before continuing.
