Classmate Valentines Cards

Valentines Your Children Can Make for Their Classmates

Classmate Valentines Cards

Shelves are packed with colorful decorations, tasty candies, and an endless supply of cards. Around this time of year, greeting card sales soar.

Store bought cards certainly send a message, but not one as nearly as personal, unique, or creative as handmade cards.

However, cards for a project such as this – an entire classroom of recipients, can be time consuming, which is why these card making projects are quick and simple.

The card projects presented here are perfect for kids, and especially ideal for making a large number of cards, which can be handed out to an entire classroom full of friends and peers.

Heart-Shaped Simple Valentines

These cards are easy and effective, and take on the Valentine theme by their shape. All you need is some cardstock paper in shades of reds and pinks, some scissors, and markers.

To create them, simply fold paper in half. Cut a half heart shape, with the pointy sides of the heart up against the fold. When you open the card, it will be a full heart!

Everyone wants a full heart on Valentine’s Day!

A simple decoration can be drawn on the cover, or, use a stamp or sticker to add that final touch to each card.

Write a basic message on the inside flap, such as Happy Valentines’s Day!

These can be made in a variety of sizes, and if you have trouble getting the shape right, try tracing a heart and using it as a template.

Unfolded Glitter Delight Valentines

Kids love glitter. It’s sparkly, shiny, and just plain fun.

Cut shapes from heavy cardstock paper: hearts, stars, rectangles, circles. Use shades of red, pink, and purple.

Once you’ve got your stack of shapes, start decorating! Use glue to create heart outlines on each card, and then sprinkle gold and red glitter over the glue.

Or, simply use a glitter glue pen. Spread the cards out on a flat surface to dry. When all of the cards are all dry, go through the stack and write a quick and simple message, like Happy Valentine’s Day, on the back of each card.

These will be a big hit with all the kids!
