Fall Triple Wreath

Seasonal Themed Wreaths

fall triple wreath

This multiple wreath hanging can be made for any season and stores away very easily.

It makes a great housewarming gift.

And if the kids would like to make one as a Christmas gift, have them use Aleene’s Clear Gel Tacky Glue instead of a hot glue gun. Just allow time for drying before proceeding to the next step.

The example is for autumn/Thanksgiving, but think about Christmas/winter, Valentines, spring or any special event by using colors and embellishments to suit the occasion.

Fall Triple Wreath Materials

  • Three 3-inch diameter grapevine wreaths
  • 48 inches of 1-inch wide dark green organza ribbon
  • 3 Bunches of silk flowers (each bunch should have at least 20 small flowers) in fall colors
  • 15 Glass beads - 5 in brown, 5 in light green and 5 in off-white or colors to coordinate with the flowers you have chosen
  • Hot glue gun (or Aleene’s Clear Gel Tacky Glue for children)
  • Scissors or small wire cutters
  • 1 Small tree branch about 18" long
  • Delta Ceramcoat All Purpose Sealer
  • Paint brush
  • Sanding block or a small piece of fine sand paper

Assembling the Wreaths

Cut three 16-inch lengths of the ribbon. Set aside.

Using scissors or wire cutters, cut all the flowers off their stems just underneath each flower leaving 1/8 inch of stem. Form a pile of each color group.

Tie one of the 16-inch pieces of ribbon around the top of each wreath making a knot and leaving two equal lengths for tying later.

Starting with the first wreath and one pile of flowers, hot glue (or use Tacky Glue to attach) the flowers around the wreath.

Place them close to each other so there isn’t any of the wreath showing.

Do the same with the other two wreaths.

Glue the glass beads equidistantly around each wreath on the side which will be visible.

Lightly sand the branch with the sanding block or sand paper until all debris and loose bark is gone. Then paint on one coat of All Purpose Sealer.

Tie each of the two ribbon ends together in one slip knot on each wreath. Adjust to the length you want when hanging.

Slip each wreath over the branch and glue in place on the very back of the branch where the ribbon meets the branch. This will prevent the wreaths from moving around.
